iPhone 5…Not Yet

06 Oct

Apple held one of their infamous press conferences yesterday to make a big announcement, and it wasn’t the release of the iPhone 5. They say that it will be coming, but, as for a date, we are still in the dark. Instead, the public was notified of the release of the iPhone 4S.

While it looks identical to the current model, there have been some great improvements. The new version will include a dual-core processor, the same central processing unit as the iPad 2. This will allow for your apps to run faster. You will also experience better graphics for new games that are soon to be released.

Instead of the standard 5 megapixel camera that we are accustomed to having in the current model, the 4S will be equipped with a whopping 8MP camera and the ability to record 1080p videos. Allowing you to capture great memories in the clearest form ever offered on an Apple phone.

The 4S carried by AT&T and Verizon will be the same. This means you will now be able to use Verizon’s CDMA network in the US and other  CDMA countries. Also, you can access the GSM capabilities when traveling internationally to other countries.

Keep your eyes peeled for new memory units of the iPhone 4 and iPhone 4S. Instead of just having the option of 16 or 32 GB of memory, Apple announced that an 8GB iPhone 4 and a 64GB iPhone 4S are to be available soon.

In short, although there is no completely new version of the iPhone, you can still get an advanced 4S with greater capabilities.

Express Verizon would also like to show our condolences for the recent loss of Apple CEO Steve Jobs. He was a visionary in the field that we work in and we greatly appreciate his contributions to the advancement of mobile communications.
